The Multi-Platform Challenge
Modern social media management requires simultaneous presence on multiple platforms, each with its own culture, formatting requirements, and algorithmic preferences. Writing a single post and blasting it identically across every platform is a common shortcut that consistently underperforms.
But manually creating unique, platform-optimised content for each channel is time-consuming and operationally complex. Post Later solves this with its multi-platform composer.
Create Once, Customise Per Platform
When you create a new post in Post Later, you start with a base caption and media. You then select which platforms you want to post to. Post Later activates per-platform customisation panels, one for each selected platform.
Each panel pre-populates with your base caption, which you can then modify independently. Common customisations include:
- Truncating long LinkedIn captions for X's character limit
- Adding platform-specific hashtags to the Instagram version
- Moving links to the first comment on LinkedIn to avoid the reach penalty
- Adjusting tone to be more formal for LinkedIn or more casual for Facebook
Media Handling Across Platforms
Post Later handles the technical requirements of media across platforms automatically. Upload a single image and Post Later will flag if it doesn't meet a specific platform's aspect ratio requirements, offering an in-app crop tool to adjust without leaving the composer.
For video content, Post Later validates file size and duration requirements per platform before scheduling.
Publish All or Selectively
Not every piece of content belongs on every platform. Post Later lets you enable or disable individual platform destinations for each post. A product announcement might go to LinkedIn and X but not Instagram. A behind-the-scenes image goes to Instagram and Facebook but not LinkedIn.
Schedule Everything in One Click
Once you've customised your post for each platform, a single click on Schedule All queues the entire batch simultaneously. Each platform version publishes at the time you've specified, or at the AI-recommended optimal time, without any further manual input required.
